Another fun-filled day visiting our old jaunts! Today we made a visit to MacArthur Mall in Norfolk, which is less than 20 minutes away from my parents’ house in Virginia Beach. What I love about this area is that everything is less than 20 minutes away and there are multiple places to shop and eat…you rarely get bored here because there is so much to do! Anyway, first stop as soon as we got to the mall: lunch! We decided on California Pizza Kitchen…we don’t have one of these in FL!
My main course was pasta with a garlic cream sauce and chicken & mushrooms…
After the mall, we decided to take a 10 minute drive down the street to our alma mater: Old Dominion University! BD & I had my younger brother with us; he recently graduated from ODU and currently works on campus so we parked the Tahoe and did some walking around the new University Village.
Here are a couple pictures of the new University Village, which houses the university apartments, bookstore and a variety of restaurants and shops…this was NOT here when BD & I were attending…
The University Bookstore was awesome and had a Starbucks attached to it. Yes, beats the Bookstore of our college days…
We came home to find the boys playing nicely with Poppy and Grams and dinner cooked! My mom cooked chicken adobo, a traditional Filipino dish…
